Poly drug use, or using several types of drugs over a longer period of time, had increased in Belgium between 2013 and 2018, growing to 0.9 percent of the country's population. Indeed, poly-drug use went up by 0.7 percentage points from 2013 to 2018. In other words, it was estimated that the number of Belgians who consumed multiple drugs, such as cannabis, cocaine, ecstasy, and so on, was on the rise.

A logistic regression based on respondents answers, age, gender, and the Belgian population in 2018 was used to measure the presented share of the Belgian population.
* The number of respondents varied each year: 5,556 respondents in 2008 and 4,968 respondents in 2013.
