According to a June 2020 survey, responses on how seriously to take Donald Trump's tweets were fairly mixed. Overall, 19 percent of responding U.S. adults felt that the President's tweets should be taken very seriously, and 21 percent stated that they should not be taken seriously at all. However, the reasons for taking Tump's tweets seriously may vary, as many adults either do not believe his Twitter content nor do they view it as government policy.
