YouTube and Netflix are the dominant forces when it comes to online video apps in the Netherlands as of May 2020. This according to estimates based on data tracked and provided by Airnow PLC. Based on the daily active users (DAU), the Netflix app was used over three times more than NPO, the app from the Dutch public television organization with the same name. Noticeable is the relatively high inclusion of Disney+ in the list, a service that was launched in the Netherlands earlier than Canada and the United States in 2019.

The numbers provided come from an app tracker, with numbers originally being supplied monthly. The annual numbers shown here are calculated: the downloads in each month of the years have been added together.
There are no rankings that show all online video apps. The source, for example, only provides individual data per app. The ones here have been picked due to their media presence or overall market share in the country.
The source does not mention whether this concerns "first-time" downloads, or whether users deleted an app and downloaded it again.
All numbers include use on iPhone, iPad, and Android devices (smartphones and tablets). The numbers were originally split between iOS and Android, but have been added together for clarity.
