During a June 2020 survey, 37 percent of female U.S. adults who identified as Democrats stated that they had a more favorable view of brands who posted their support of the protestors on social media. However, only 13 percent of their Republican-identifying counterparts felt the same. Some of the consequences of Floyd's death include demonstrations, public outcry, and increased discourse regarding racial inequality in the United States on social media.
