Major textile companies India 2025, by net sales

As of January 2025, the net sales among India's leading textile companies were the highest for Vardhman Textiles at about 93 billion Indian rupees. In comparison, the net sales of Voith Paper Fabrice was 1.8 billion Indian rupees during the same year. 

Textile and apparel industry

The textile industry is one of the organized markets in India, in fiscal year 2024, the value for readymade garments was higher than cotton yarn. Over the years, the industry has shown tremendous growth, and with the current trend, the market value was estimated to double by 2026.

Yarn production

The textile market contributed approximately two percent to India's GDP and employed an estimated 100 million people in the financial year 2022. India registered as the second-largest exporter of textile yarn globally in 2022. With a steady volume of yarn production recorded in recent years, cotton spun yarn was the most produced type of yarn across India. Fabrics, fibers, and filaments constituted the major exported textile products by value.
