A May 2020 survey held in the United States revealed that only one percent of African Americans always watch the Daytime Emmy Awards, whereas 78 percent never or did not usually tune in to the ceremony. The Daytime Emmy Awards were not popular with adults from any ethnic group, but White respondents were the most likely to say that they never watched the show.
