Europe: share of over 65 year olds receiving an influenza vaccination 2021

Some 78 percent of individuals aged over 65 years of age in Denmark received a vaccination against influenza in 2021 which is the highest share in Europe. In general, those aged over 65 are more at risk of developing complications from flu, such as pneumonia, and therefore it is important for this group of people to be vaccinated.
