On average, men had an average score of 531 out of a maximum of 800, whereas women scored 48 points less. As reported by this study, test takers in Buenos Aires, Argentina showed the best results among all the other Latin American cities surveyed.

The data is based on test results of 2.2 million adults who took the EF Standard English Test (EF SET) or one of EF's English placement tests around the world. The test is online based and checks passive skills - reading and listening. The median age of test takers was 26.

A2: 300-399
