In a survey conducted by Ipsos in 2020, regarding whether or not respondents thought it likely they would watch more TV through online subscription services rather than through traditional TV channels, 78 percent of respondents in China stated it was likely they would use more SVOD services than traditional TV channels. Comparatively, 46 percent of respondents in Malaysia thought they would use SVOD services more than watching TV traditionally in 2020.
