In 2020, 58.52 percent of Mexican Instagram influencers with between five to 20 thousand followers was involved in Instagram fraud, making the remaining 41.48 percent fraud-free. Such practices as buying followers, following/unfollowing, buying likes and comments, buying stories view, and comment pods are considered Instagram fraud.
