Investments in hi-tech start-ups in Italy increased by 118% between 2020 and 2021, overcoming a critical threshold of one billion euros invested for the first time since 2012. In 2022, they grew further, reaching 2.16 billion euros expended in Italian tech start-ups. However, investments recorded a decrease by 45% in 2023, mainly due to rising inflation and geopolitical instability. Still, more than one billion euros were invested in the start-ups market.
