Enhanced, otherwise known as functional, water is mineral water which has been fortified with extra ingredients which claim to offer additional health benefits. In 2018, the sales of functional bottled water in Canada amounted to around 188.5 million U.S. dollars. This figure is expected to reach almost 200 million U.S. dollars by 2022.
