Healthy foods were the food category consumers were most likely to have tried new brands of and planned to continue buying the brand after the coronavirus outbreak in the United States in 2020. Thirty-five percent of respondents indicated that they were trying new healthy food brands, followed by 29 percent trying new snack and junk food brands.
