On March 9, 2020, due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Italian government imposed a national lockdown, restricting non-essential movements in the country. Whereas the quarantine impacted negatively several industries, data show that the sales value of products in the video game industry rose significantly from March 2 to 29, 2020. Gaming seats recorded the highest percentage increase in sales value. Compared to the same period of 2019, the sales value of this product rose by 478 percent. Similarly, the sales value of steering wheels increased by 104 percent compared to the previous year.
