According to a survey carried out in the United Kingdom (UK) in May 2020, found that 18 percent of men and 13 percent of women think that the ban of menthol cigarettes in the country will reduce smoking rates. On the other hand four percent of men and two percent of women think the ban will lead to an increase in the smoking rates. Overall, the majority of respondents across both the genders think the ban will make no difference to the smoking rate in the United kingdom.
