As of May 17, 2020, 32 percent of survey respondents in the United Kingdom said that they felt better protected when they wore a face mask, with a further 51 percent quite reporting they felt somewhat protected. Furthermore, 22 percent reported that it felt very much normal when wearing a face mask, although 33 percent felt somewhat self-conscious.
