According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in South Korea in 2022, around 81 percent of 35 to 44 year old respondents stated they used their mobile phones to play online games. Mobile phones were the most popular device with which to play online games across all age groups. This was followed by PC gaming. Among gamers between the ages of 16 and 34 years PC gaming was of similar popularity to mobile gaming, while there were larger gaps between these two devices among older gamers.
