COVID-19: fall in bookings for holiday rental platforms in Spain in 2020

The COVID-19 pandemic severely affected the economy in Spain during the first quarter of 2020. The tourism sector was one of the most damaged by confinement measures to fight the coronavirus, and in this statistic we see the impact it had on large online vacation rental platforms. As can be seen, tourist accommodation reservations on these platforms plummeted from February to a year-on-year decrease of 97 percent in week 14.
