The Sodexo France group was at the top of this ranking with more than 300 million meals served in 2016. In second position we find the Elior group with around 291 million meals served during the period analyzed. The Elior Group was founded in 1991 by Robert Zolade and Francis Markus, who hold 35 percent of the capital of Générale de Restauration, a subsidiary of the Accor group specializing in collective catering.
