Number of PE/VC investments in India 2023, by sector

The financial services sector in India recorded 161 private equity and venture capital investments in 2023, compared to around 250 deals in the previous year. In addition to being the highest ranking sector by number of deals in 2023, it was also the country's third-highest sector in terms of value of deals.
