According to a survey conducted by Vase.ai on Malaysians' media consumption during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period, 52 percent of respondents shared that they have been exercising for less than half an hour per day during this period. 65 percent have spent one to three hours gardening while 33 percent have spent their time watching entertainment content for three to five hours per day. The Malaysian government issued the MCO period for two weeks from March 18, 2020. It has been extended again to June 9.

The Movement Control Order (MCO) was introduced to restrict the movement of people in Malaysia, in an effort to slow down the spread of COVID-19. It was implemented on March 18, 2020, and expected to be lifted on June 3, 2020.
