Monthly consumer spending growth in Russia 2020
Household expenditure growth rates in Russia skyrocketed in March 2020, which happened to coincide with the panic shopping related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in the country. After adjusting to the current inflation rates, consumer spending grew at a 122 percent rate in that month, which was significantly higher in nominal terms. However, in April 2020, the figures dropped and marked a growth of 101 percent.
