In 2022, the share of value added by the agriculture, forestry and fishing sector to the gross domestic product in Ghana remained nearly unchanged at around 19.57 percent. With a decline of 0.1 percentage points (-0.51 percent), there is no significant change to 2021.
The agriculture, forestry, and fishing sector includes crop cultivation, forestry, hunting, fishing, and livestock production. The value added refers to the net output of the sector, obtained by deducting the intermediate inputs (or intermediate consumption) from the gross production revenues.
