English language proficiency index for selected cities in CEE 2023

The capital of Croatia scored 626 out of 800 points in English Proficiency Index by Education First in 2023, indicating the highest result among major cities in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). In Zagreb, Warsaw, Budapest, Bratislava, Bucharest, and Sofia, an average adult who took English First Standard English Tests (SET) had a score comparable to C1 level that ranged between 600 and 699 points.
