Downloads of Fortnite Mobile worldwide 2019-2020
First released in 2017 and developed by Epic Games, Fortnite is an online battle royal video game with the objective of being the last survivor and eliminating other opposing players. As a result of the game's great success, a mobile version was released on iOS and Android the following year. The mobile game amassed over six million downloads worldwide in April 2020 alone. This sharp growth in downloads is no doubt in part due to the coronavirus pandemic, which spread across the world at the beginning of 2020 and led to many people turning to gaming and other forms of indoor entertainment during periods of lockdown.
