The turnover of the air transport industry in the European Union increased by 7.9 billion euros (+5.36 percent) in 2018. With 155.19 billion euros, the turnover thereby reached its highest value in the observed period. Turnover is defined by Eurostat as the total of all sales (excluding VAT) of goods and services carried out by the enterprises of a given sector during the reference period.
