Although the data is anonymized, a majority of French people (54 percent) did not trust the Government regarding the use to be made of the file centralizing the data collected via the application StopCovid in May 2020. StopCovid is a project that is part of the state of health emergency linked to the coronavirus epidemic. This project would consist of a smartphone application intended to limit the spread of the virus by identifying the transmission chains through the collection of somewhat personal infomation of French app users.
