The COVID-19 pandemic that spread across the world at the beginning of 2020 was not only a big threat to public health, but also to the entire youth and amateur sports industry. During a May 2020 survey in the United States, some 34 percent of respondents stated that they would be less likely allow their children to travel to other regions and communities for sports tournaments and games once organized sports began again after the crisis.
