After the noticeable growth of coronavirus cases in Denmark and the following shutdown implemented by the government from March 11 onwards, the usage of gaming apps increased correspondingly. To give an example, while roughly 22.7 thousand Danish people used the Minecraft app daily on their iOS devices on March 1, 2020, the number of daily active users (DAU) grew to over 67 thousand as of April 29. Afterwards, the DAU of the sandbox video game declined again and was at about 33 thousand on June 1.
