There are many ways of children to stay active, including joining sports teams, participating in recreational leagues, or taking part in school sports. However, these hobbies often do not come cheap and, during a May 2020 survey in the United States, 29 percent of respondents strongly agreed that they would be more likely to enroll their children in youth sports programs if the cost were partially subsidized by the government.
