According to a survey conducted by Vase.ai on Malaysians during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period, 75 percent of respondents during the first phase of MCO shared that they would only leave the house to purchase essential items. In the third phase, 19 percent would not leave the house at all and only household members were allowed inside. The Malaysian government issued the MCO to stop the spread of the coronavirus. It was initially intended for two weeks from March 18, 2020. It has been extended for the third time, to June 9.
