Budget of hospitals in Belgium in 2019, by type of hospital
The 2019 budget of Belgium's 104 general hospitals was over five times higher than that of the 60 psychiatric hospitals in the country. Indeed, the psychiatric hospitals had an annual budget of roughly 1.3 billion euros, whereas the general hospitals had one of approximately seven billion euros. In 2019, the total budget of general and psychiatric hospitals in Belgium amounted to 8.27 billion euros.
