According to a survey by Rakuten Insight in April 2022, almost 42 percent of Thai female respondents stated that they spent between one to two hours playing one session of online games. The survey also explored devices used for online gaming and it revealed that the majority of Thai respondents used mobile phones to play online games.

The survey was conducted among 7,476 female and 3,979 male respondents. Other surveyed countries included China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Vietnam.
