In 2021, the players of Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors were the best-paid players on average in K League 1. Jeonbuk players were each paid on average over 542 million South Korean won as annual salaries, well above Ulsan Hyundai, which was in second place with an average of roughly 485 million won. Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors was regarded among the most successful South Korean football clubs, with two of the best-paid domestic players playing for them.
