The number of people getting treatment for pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) against the human immunodeficiency viruses (HIV) in France has been rising over the years. During the first semester of 2016, over a thousand French people used such a treatment. From January to June 2021, more than 26,800 people used Truvada or a generic equivalent in France.
