State share in feeding people during COVID-19 pandemic in India 2020 by top state/UT

In Bihar, Lakshadweep, and Manipur, the administrative government provided 100 percent of food to the people who were left high and dry due to the lockdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and even to the poor people who lost their livelihood. In all, 8.4 million people were provided with free meals across India, out of which 5.4 million meals were provided by the different state governments. The government also made provisions to ensure that NGOs and charitable organizations have an uninterrupted supply of food grains like rice and wheat at open market sales rates.
