The total amount wagered in the online gambling market in Italy increased in 2022 over the previous year. Over the period considered, card games and fixed odd games recorded the highest figures. In 2022, the amount wagered by players on these online games totaled roughly 53.3 billion euros, rising from around 47.5 billion euros in 2021. Sports betting reported the second-highest figure, with the amount wagered adding up to around 12.3 billion euros in 2022.
