A survey of Indonesian women conducted in 2019 found that the majority of the respondents across all age groups claimed that they look for information on beauty products from social media such as Instagram and YouTube. The same survey found that more than 40 percent of the Indonesian women surveyed started using make up before they were 13 years old.
