The survey question was phrased as follows: "Compared to 6 months ago, are you NOW more or less confident of your ability to invest in the future, including your ability to save money for your retirement or your children's education?."
The following question was used to formulate the Ipsos National Index as well as the Current, Expectations, Jobs, and Investment sub-indices.
The Global Consumer Confidence Index is the average of the National Index of 24 world markets surveyed monthly by Ipsos. The findings are based on data from Primary Consumer Sentiment Index (PCSI). The PCSI Index is normalized to a 0 to 100-point range with “50” representing the historical median economic conditions.
