Ahead of the Victory Day celebrated in Russia on May 9, 44 percent of residents stated they felt joy from the fact that their country won the Second World War, according to a survey from February 2020. More than one fifth of respondents grieved over those who lost their lives during the war when they thought about the Victory Day.
