Mercado Pago number of payment transactions 2015-2023
In 2023, approximately 9.5 billion payment transactions were made via Mercado Pago, a digital payment platform operated by MercadoLibre, Inc. That is about 73 percent more than the 5.5 billion Mercado Pago transactions registered a year earlier. Mercado Libre's fintech division – called Mercado Crédito – managed a loan portfolio valued at 3.8 billion U.S. dollars.
