In 2019, Amazon concentrated nearly half of all online sales of books in Brazil. Meanwhile, four out of five (80 percent of) e-books purchased in the South American country during that year were bought on Amazon. The company started to operate in Brazil in 2012, by selling books only. Since 2017, Amazon.com.br offers multiple kinds of products.
