Number of hospital beds in ICU Japan 2018, by prefecture
In 2018, intensive care units (ICU) in hospitals in Tokyo Prefecture had a capacity of 803 hospital beds,
which was the highest number among all 47 prefectures in Japan. Osaka Prefecture followed with 532 beds. That year, a total of around 5.9 thousand beds were available in ICUs in Japanese hospitals.
