Spain is by far the leading re-exporter of LNG in Europe. In 2023, 1.41 million tons of LNG were re-exported from Spanish terminals. This accounts for 28 percent of worldwide totals, making Spain the leading re-exporter in the world. Total LNG imports in Europe amounted to nearly 121.4 million tons that year.
