In April 2020, it was found that the majority of the British public had trust in the information provided by Professor Chris Witty, the Chief Medical Officer of England, during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. 25 percent of those surveyed had a high level of trust in Professor Chris Witty, with a further 36 percent having some trust in him. On the other hand, there is a high level of distrust among the British public of the information disseminated by Donald Trump, who has attracted some criticism for comments he made in regard to treating coronavirus in the body.
