Between week 15 and week 19 of 2020, the number of container vessel calls decreased: the share of ports reporting a rather stable situation dropped from 52 percent to 47 percent. Additionally, ten percent of ports observed a 25-50 percent reduction in the number of container calls due to the disruptions caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. As of July 15, 2020, the situation seemed to be returning to normal, with over half of the respondents reporting a rather stable situation. However, trade routes in the Far East still had numerous blank sailings in week 29.
