Manufacturing industry outlook during COVID-19 South Korea Q1 2020-Q3 2024
In the third quarter of 2024, the Business Survey Index (BSI) for the manufacturing sector in South Korea was 86 points, down slightly from 91 points in the previous quarter. Following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the index value initially fell to 71 points in the first quarter of 2021 after which it recovered slightly. The coronavirus (COVID-19) adversely affected the South Korean economy, which, however, quickly recovered as early as 2021.
