Credit card and debit card number in Ukraine 2009-2020
About 20 percent of payment cards issued in Ukraine were credit cards, reaching a total of slightly more than 15 million in 2020. Debit cards were found more often in the country, as that year there were over 50 million of these cards. The numbers provided are somewhat estimates, based on the figures banks have to supply to the country's central bank. Owning a payment card does not immediately indicate it gets used often, as there are large differences within Europe when it comes to the use of certain payment methods.
