In 2022, the share of the population in working age between 15 and 64 in Taiwan dropped to approximately 70.3 percent of the total population. As the fertility rate in Taiwan is extremely low and age expectations are rising, this share is projected to gradually shrink to around 49.8 percent in 2060.
