In 2019, 80 percent of online users across the Middle East and North Africa preferred to break their fast with their families at home during Ramadan. In addition, 53 percent of consumers in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Egypt increased their spending during the fasting month, where the majority spent on household items such as food and groceries.
